DEFEAT on Saturday left the Scholars fourth from bottom at this early stage of the season.
Here is what happened at the other Ryman League games in the division at the weekend.
The only hat-trick on Saturday came in an amazing seven-goal thriller at Theobalds Lane.
Hosts Cheshunt raced into a 3-0 lead against East Thurrock United inside 18 minutes, courtesy of Yohance Lewis and a brace from Ashley Taylor Forbes.
Martin Tuohy pulled one back before half-time with a penalty and scored his second just after the hour.
Max Cornhill equalised after 62 minutes and Tuohy got the winner 10 minutes later.
The victory moved East Thurrock to top spot in the league table.
Former Division One North leaders Wingate & Finchley lost at home to Brentwood Town, Steve Wareham scoring the only goal.
Great Wakering Rovers' visit to Waltham Abbey was eminently forgettable for them after a 5-0 trouncing.
Billy Holland, Harry Elmes (two), James Elmes and Lee White all netted, without reply from the basement-dwellers.
Just above them, on goal difference, Hillingdon Borough slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Maldon Town.
Alan Sampson and Saul Otobo scored midway through the second half for the home side to seal the three points.
There was late drama at Tilbury where Enfield Town led 2-1 at half-time.
Luke Marshall and a Rudi Hall penalty responded to Clinton Hodge's opener.
Ricci Crace made it 3-1 with 11 minutes to go, only for Chris Stowe to halve the deficit in the final couple of minutes.
But Hall grabbed his second in stoppage time to ensure a 4-2 victory for the Towners.
John Frendo's stoppage time penalty kick, his second goal of the game, gave Ware a 3-2 win at Leyton.
The marksman opened the scoring after 12 minutes.
However, Leyton took the lead with two goals in two minutes from Paul Killick and Ross Edwards.
Laurie Stewart scored Ware's equaliser to set up the grandstand finish.
Witham Town raced into a three-goal lead at Thamesmead Town, Luke Taylor, Nick Brown and Mitchell Lowes scoring.
Thamesmead hit back with goals from Ricki Cable and Harbingi Grant, but couldn't snatch an equaliser.
Concord Rangers also led 3-0 against Waltham Forest, Gary Howard, Stevland Angus and Shane Oakley scoring.
Forest's response came in the last couple of minutes from Yal Boateng.
Northwood also left it quite late to seal their victory over Chatham Town.
An early goal from Sean Sonner was cancelled out by Dave Botterill midway through the second half.
However, Michael Gordon popped up with what proved to be the winner in the last five minutes.
At Oakside, both goals came within a minute of half-time.
Glen Golby gave visiting Aveley the lead before the break.
However, after the interval Leli Bejada levelled for Redbridge to make the final score 1-1.
