WELWYN Pegasus Royals Under-14s beat Bury Rangers Reds 3-0 at Monk's Walk on Sunday.

The MHRML Premier Division game saw Pegasus create a couple of half chances before going ahead.

Andrew Walshe managed to win the race between the keeper and himself.

He lifted the ball over the stopper and into the goal.

The defence and midfield held out and the hosts then doubled their advantage through Max Tann.

Afolabi Omatola squared the ball to Tann in the penalty area and he fired in the second.

Five minutes before half-time Omatola coolly placed the ball wide of the diving keeper to give Pegasus a 3-0 first-half lead.

The score could have been doubled after the break.

But shots by Omatola, Walshe, Sam Rowland and Jack Reynolds were all saved.
