WELWYN Pegasus Under-14 Royals won 3-1 away to Cheshunt in the MHRML Premier Division.

Pegasus were on a good run and eager to avenge the loss in the previous meeting between the two teams.

The Welwyn side went one down but Alex Chalker equalised with a curling free-kick in the first half.

Royals had the better chances after the break, with Daniel Atkins in goal having little to do.

The defence was solid and Luke Walsh put in a great performance on the left. So did Scott Gibbs on the right, as well as Bradley Dimmock and Alex Chalker in the centre.

Debutant Afolabi Omotola had a shot blocked but Max Tann lifted the ball into the net to take the lead.

The game was topped off with a third for Pegasus as Omotola got his reward for an excellent debut when he rounded the keeper and finished.
