WELWYN Pegasus Under-14s Royals blew Hertford Town away on Sunday.

On a windy day, the Royals hit lowly Hertford Town Stags for six at home.

Despite playing into the strong wind in the first half, Pegasus were always the stronger team. Andrew Walshe was a constant threat to the defence and opened the scoring from Alex Chalker's pass with a dipping shot.

Substitute Jack Reynolds managed to bundle the ball over the line following a goalmouth scramble to give Pegasus a 2-0 half-time lead.

Reynolds moved up front in the second half and made it 3-0 with a scorcher. Hertford were still recovering from the goal when Pegasus won the ball back and Bradley Dimmock managed to add to the score.

Hertford never gave up but Pegasus scored two more before the final whistle.

Another super strike gave Reynolds his hat-trick and Dimmock completed the rout.
