SHERRARDSWOOD & Birchwood Rangers Under-10s Reds dominated the second half against Bury Rangers to avenge their recent loss in the cup.

They won the match 4-0 with three of the goals coming after the break.

Sherrardswood's Toby Coleman hit the crossbar with a firmly struck shot on four minutes and Tommy Dolan, Danny Sitton, Matthew Morris and Steven Dodd all forced fine saves from the Bury keeper.

Bury were dangerous on the break and kept the defence on their toes, but Calum Paine, Coleman and keeper Zak Tooth stood firm.

Birchwood finally scored in the last minute of the first half.

Sitton broke down the right, checked and crossed for Morris to sweep home the first.

Both Dodd and Sitton had shots rebound off the woodwork in the second half before Dolan broke down the right and drilled in a low cross that Sitton slotted in at the back post.

Sherrardswood scored a third just four minutes later when Dolan got his name on the scoresheet from Dodd's accurate pass.

Keeper Tooth kept Bury at bay with a couple of fine saves before Morris stole the goal in the final minute.

Dolan was named Sherrardswood's man of the match for his strong running and fine crossing from the wing.
