TWO goals from Jay Read in the opening five minutes set Panshanger Yellows Under-9s on their way to a comfortable 7-0 win over Hertford Town Harts on a sunny and crisp Saturday morning.

Fourth-placed Panshanger were too strong in all areas for the Hertford side, with Charlie Evans dominating the midfield and creating several good chances in the first half.

Eddy Webb, playing on the right wing, scored Panshanger's third goal with a typical driving run from halfway and a cool finish when one-on-one with the keeper.

Joshua Aylott struck Panshanger's fourth after the break with a typical poacher's finish, stabbing the ball home when Hertford failed to clear their lines.

Kieran Butler then hit a powerful left-footed drive for the fifth.

Positional changes allowed Tariq Adoum to play the final 10 minutes in attack and he capitalised by helping himself to his first goal of the season.

Charlie Sherwood capped an excellent performance with the Welwyn side's seventh goal.
