SIX of the best were rifled in by Sherrardswood & Birchwood Rangers Under-10s as they trounced Hertford Town Stags at the weekend.

Stephen Dodd's weaving run on 12 minutes saw him put James Wall through. He coolly rounded the keeper for the first goal.

Stags looked dangerous from the restart and Rangers keeper Zak Tooth made a fine save.

The keeper's rapid redistribution saw Dodd force a corner and Toby Daley put in a back post header to make it two.

Stags' early threat was realised on 21 minutes with a scrambled goal making it 2-1 at half-time.

Mitchell Warren, Calum Paine and Tommy Dolan came off the bench for the second half.

Stags were determined to fight back and immediately applied pressure, opening up the game.

But Rangers went further ahead through Dolan, before Matthew Morris made it 4-1.

The game was all but over when Dodd's break down the right and rifled shot strike rebounded in off a defender to make it five.

Dolan completed the scoring with another low drive taking a deflection.

Rangers' man-of-the-match was Daley.
