LEAGUE leaders Sherrardswood & Birchwood Rangers Under-14s took another step towards the Mid Herts Premier Division title with a 3-2 win over Harlow Town.

They dominated from the off against their mid-table opponents, although Harlow did look dangerous at times on the break.

Rangers' superiority was confirmed by a forceful midfield performance from Ben Corbett, who beat three players and passed for top striker Zack Neiman to clinically finish.

Luis Emmanuel, a new signing on the right wing, also proved his worth.

He drove into the corner and crossed for Neiman to again finish with his second of the match.

A number of other chances were frustratingly missed and just before half-time Harlow sneaked a goal back.

This gave them heart and they pushed in the second half and grabbed another goal to draw level.

But the superior skills of Rangers eventually shone through with constant pressure rewarded by a great threaded shot from George Herbert.

More chances came for Rangers but none went in and it ended up a valuable 3-2 win to bring the title within sight for Sherrardswood.
