Jerry Maja’s brace saw Potters Bar Town into the third round of the Red Insure Cup with a 4-2 home victory over Beaconsfield SYCOB.

An own goal and an Evandro Delgado strike near the end wrapped up the Scholars’ victory on Tuesday night.

The third round draw has handed Steve Ringrose’s men another home clash, this time with Premier Division mid-table outfit Slough Town on Tuesday, January 12.

Potters Bar are in Division One Central action on Saturday as they travel to Aylesbury United.
