Potters Bar Town’s new 12th Man Fund has already been put into action – with the signing of Keagan Cole from Hendon.

The scheme has only just been set up as a way to boost the playing budget available to the Scholars management team.

And Steve Ringrose and James Duncan have wasted little time in putting it to use.

Cole became the youngest to reach 100 appearances for the Bostik Premier Division Greens, a feat made even more impressive by the fact he is still only 18-year-old.

He scored 17 goals in that time and a spokesman for the Scholars said: “His experience, talent and youthful energy makes a clear and firm statement of Potters Bar Town’s ambitions going into this new season of the Bostik Premier Division.

“Everyone at Potters Bar Town FC would like to welcome Keagan.”

Bar’s Adam Waller also thanked everyone who has already donated to the fund but added more was needed to continue the management’s squad-developing potential.
