Potters Bar Town remain in the bottom half of Southern League Central Division One after a comprehensive 4-2 defeat at promotion-chasing Barton Rovers.

The visitors had no answer to an early Rovers onslaught as they raced into a four-goal half-time lead through a brace apiece from Connor Vincent and Keshi Anderson.

Town emerged from the dressing room after the break with a renewed vigour as they clawed back two goals.

Josh Hutchinson’s penalty slightly reduced the arrears four minutes after the interval and six minutes later, the deficit was halved again as James Ewington struck but there was to be no further revival.
