Lee O'Leary leads the lengthy retained list at Potters Bar Town as the Scholars plan for the new season.

The skipper at the Pakex Stadium is one of 20 players to commit their future to the Bar Army ahead of the club’s first season at step three.

Speaking to the club’s website, O’Leary said: “It will be an honour to captain this side and club into the level above after the success we had last season.

“It will also be a different type of challenge to ones I have had in the past in this league but one I am looking forward to the most.

“With the set of lads we have and with some additions I am hoping we can create some more history.”

The following players will pull on the maroon shirt again next season in the Bostik Premier League: Billy Addock, Billy Baird, Tommy Boxer, Steve Brown, James Budden, Eoin Casey, Sandro Costa Dias Fernandez, Chris Doyle, Ryan Forde, Ben Goode, Sean Grace, Berkley Laurencin, Jordan Lawal, Andy Lomas, Greg Marsh, Michael Murray, George Nicholas, Lee O’Leary, Will Wambeek, Ben Ward-Cochrane.

A statement on the website also said: “The management are working hard behind the scenes to sign players and new signings will be announced shortly.

“It is great to see the loyalty shown by the players and management and also to underline and recognise that this is a great club to play for and be involved with.”
