Potters Bar Town Football Club have set up a scheme to help boost the playing budget ahead of the Scholars' historic new season.
The 12th Man Fund is a faxsimile of tried and tested methods at other clubs and has the expressed aim of providing additional funds for the club’s management team.
The minimum payment is £10 per month and as a member of the fund, people will have their name displayed in the clubhouse and the programme, as well as being the sponsors of any player that signs because of the fund.
A spokesman said: “We are looking for members who wish to support the team, as it seeks to improve and push on from last season’s impressive performance and promotion.
“Unlike other fund raising schemes, we can assure you that all monies raised will contribute towards the playing budget and hopefully a successful 2018/19 season.”
