HISTORY will be made at Potters Bar Town Football Club on Saturday when visitors Wroxham become the first Norfolk club to play in the Ryman League.

Like the Suffolk clubs recently promoted from the Eastern Counties League, the Yachtsmen are expected to make an immediate impression in their new surroundings.

For The Scholars, they will be looking to begin the 2012/13 term with three points.

Adam Lee’s side go into the campaign having had a mixed set of pre-season results, including five defeats, three wins and a draw.

Last term Bar finished 12th in the league table after flirting with the play-off places for much of the season.

For the past three seasons Bar have finished a place higher than the season before.

If that is anything to go by then they can expect to end the term in 11th position this time around.

They defeated fellow Division One North rivals Ware on Tuesday in the quarter-final of the Herts Charity Cup, courtesy of a second half own-goal.

Bar will now face St Albans City in the semi-final.

The Saints defeated Royston Town 3-2 in their quarter-final clash on Saturday.
