The ESFA Potters Bar Primary Schools District U11 Football Team are through to the final of the Bill Sanders Memorial Hertfordshire District Cup after defeating local rivals St Albans 1-0.

Cheered on by Leyton Orient’s Henry Ochieng, a goal from Callum Howell in the first half sent the nine-a-side team into their fifth final of the year.

Games between the two are always hotly contested and this was no different.

Goalkeeper Finlay Herrick was excellent during the game while defenders Albert Wood, man-of-the-match Jokubas Mazionis and Freddie Davies were as solid as ever.

Antonio Jackson-Ruiz, David Hicks, Riley Warmerdam, Howell and Harrison Hubert kept the ball very well in midfield while both Adnan Lembariti and Rahim Kakigali worked the St Albans defence very hard throughout.

They will now play either Dacorum or North Herts.
