Potters Bar Town are through to the second round of the Herts Senior Cup by beating FC Broxbourne Borough 4-3 after extra-time.

Bar looked to be strolling through against their Spartan South Midlands League opponents when 2-0 up after just 16 minutes through Billy Adcock and Jack Lyons goals.

However, they were pegged back by efforts from Tom Oram and Charncy Dash, before Dash gave Boro the lead with 20 minutes to go.

Eoin Casey levelled things for the Scholars with just four minutes of normal time remaining to send the match to extra-time.

Both sides had chances to win it from there, but Adcock finally settled it with a curling left foot shot.

Bar will now face ground sharing neighbours Hadley in the next round.
