POTTERS Bar Town bounced back from their 6-0 Ryman League Division One North hammering at AFC Sudbury on Saturday in style with a 3-1 triumph away at Romford on Tuesday night.

The Scholars fell behind after just three minutes of the game as Paul Kavanagh converted a Rikki Makin free-kick.

Just over 10 minutes later the match was all square when Town’s Josh Urquhart was first to another free-kick.

It was from a further set-piece that Adam Lee’s Bar went ahead.

This time Billy Sentence, who was sent off against AFC Sudbury, slotted home for the visitors to hand his side a half-time lead.

After the break Bar stopper Shane McWeeney was called into action a couple of times and he was equal to the Romford attempts on his goal.

In the dying stages of the encounter Luke Croll’s speculative lob beat keeper Adam Rafis and secured the win for the play-off hopefuls from Herts.

Potters Bar entertain Grays Athletic, who are managed by former West Ham United defender Julian Dicks, at the South Mimms Travel Stadium on Saturday.
