PANSHANGER Whites Tigers Under-10s defeated Greenbury United 4-2 in the Green Division of the Mid Herts Rural Minors League.

A real game of two halves, Greenbury started the brighter, with some very good play and they created numerous chances and corners.

Against the run of play, Ryan Avery netted his first goal of the season, after a great run and cross by Josh Milton.

Greenbury continued to make several chances, but the Tigers' rearguard really dug in to block, tackle and harass the opposition.

The second half started in much better fashion for the Tigers, who began to impose their attacking play resulting in Alfie Adcock finishing off a slick move.

Greenbury never gave in and managed to claw back two goals.

Shortly after the second, they broke again but a fine tackle by Kalum Baker and an even better save from Matthew Eamens proved to be the turning point.

Euan Higgins then burst through to notch his 20th goal of the season.

And with a few minutes remaining and Greenbury pressing high up the field, a quick ball out of defence released Alfie, who finished calmly for his second of the game.

The man-of-the-match went to keeper Matthew Eamens.
