NORTH Mymms Men's Club finally won the Welwyn Hatfield Sunday League's First Division on Wednesday night with a 2-0 victory over title challengers Cavy.

Goals from Phil Heywood and Paul Hurley in each half counted and were key in securing the three points.

But nothing can be taken away from the overall performance of the players on the day.

It has been another successful campaign for the side who will be entering their fifth season as a club with the league in September.

With a couple of additions to the squad and a new kit sponsored by SVG Off Licence in Welham Green, it has been a new-look team with the same winning principles.

Manager Mark Monte-Colombo put the success down to the players who have worked hard for each other this season and shown great discipline and commitment throughout the campaign.

He will be hoping for this to continue when the new season starts.
