Sam Harte’s 89th-minute thunderbolt was enough to end Belstone’s 11-game winning streak and secure a 1-1 draw for nine-man Knebworth.

The Ks had seen Leon Gutzmore and Tom Oram both sent off inside the last 15 minutes and they seemed to be heading for defeat until Harte stepped up.

Knebworth had been laying siege to the Belstone goal despite their numerical disadvantage and when a corner was only half cleared, Harte rifled a shot from the edge of the area into the top corner.

That helped him be named the Raja Tandoori man of the match and Ks could have snatched it at the end as Kadeem Gutzmore jinked his way through.

But he held off shooting, giving Belstone time to recover and block his shot.

The visitors had taken the lead on two minutes through the prolific Darren Turner.

Debutant Scott Waters had kept his side in the game with a number of fine saves.
