HATFIELD Town had a Tuesday night trip to Tring Athletic to forget as they fell to a 3-0 defeat and had two men sent off.

Things were looking good at half-time, with Mike Hollister’s Blueboys holding the hosts 0-0.

But in the second period all that changed, and as well as having Daryl Smith and Henry Bantick sent off, both for collecting two yellow cards, Town shipped three goals.

Vinnie Ianonne put Tring 1-0 up in the 50th minute, and a Andy Humphreys double ensured it was two defeat in the opening three SSML Premier Division games for Hatfield.

Tomorrow, Hatfield host bottom-side Holmer Green, looking for an important three points to get the confidence levels back up.

Green have lost all three of their games so far, and conceded 16 goals in the process, scoring seven.
