POTTERS Bar Town had an evening to forget as they were beaten 5-0 in the Ryman League Division One North away at Thamesmead Town last night (Tuesday).

On the back of their first league win of the season, 3-1 over Ilford on Saturday, The Scholars had hoped to follow that up with another positive result.

However, that proved to be a long way off as Adam Lee’s men found themselves 2-0 down at half-time, with Theo Fairweather-Johnson and Dean Standen netting for the hosts.

After the break Fairweather-Johnson netted his second and The Mead’s third, Rikki Cable made it four and Bradley Killick ended Town’s misery.

The Scholars will be looking to bounce back on Saturday as they travel to Soham Town Rangers.
