Potters Bar Town secured their first three points of the Southern League Division One Central season with a 2-1 victory at Ware.

The Scholars needed a goal in the last 10 minutes to net the win at Wodson Park last night (Tuesday).

Town, who lost their opening league game 2-1 at home to Aylesbury United on Saturday, went ahead on 23 minutes through skipper Ben Bowditch.

The hosts got back on level terms after Rod Young’s penalty on 34 minutes, however, with eight minutes to play Jack Lyons grabbed the winner.

Potters Bar Town travel to Beaconsfield SYCOB in the league on Saturday.
