An Onslow St Audrey’s School pupil has made his debut for the Northern Ireland U15 team.

Goalkeeper Tiernan Parker travelled to Scotland to represent the nation in a match against Glasgow Rangers, which his side lost 1-0.

Parker, who plays for Luton Town’s U15s, has been in impressive form so far this season and been rewarded with international recognition.

He said: “The experience of being selected to represent the team was great.

“It felt really natural playing alongside them and even though we didn’t take victory in this match I’m looking forward to playing with them in the future.”

Parker will now get a further taste for international football as he now has a place in the Victory Shield Squad.

That tournament will see Northern Ireland take on England, Wales and Scotland later in the year.
