PANSHANGER Yellows Under-9s concluded their league season with a resounding 13-0 win against Hertford Town Harts at Moneyhole Lane on Saturday.

Highlights of the match were a double hat-trick by Charlie Sherwood and three goals in the second half by regular goalkeeper Harry Hall.

Joshua Aylott, Eddy Webb, Jay Reed and Daniel Bishop also scored a goal apiece.

It was Bishop's first of the season as he usually plays in defence but he put in an excellent performance in attack at the weekend.

Hertford were unlucky not to score a consolation goal in the second half from several counter-attacks but keeper Kieran Butler made two good saves to keep a clean sheet for the Welwyn side.

Guaranteed to finish in the top half of the table, manager Paul Aylott said: "The players should be very proud of their achievements.

"They have worked hard all season and improved considerably over the course of the year.
