PANSHANGER Leopards Under-11s reached the semi-finals of the League Shield with a 4-1 win over Bengeo Sumatrans.

The Leopards produced their best performance of the season to beat a Bengeo side that is fighting for promotion in a league above.

After an impeccable minute's silence held for Mathew Blease, the Leopards raced out of the blocks and were one up within a minute thanks to a close range-effort from livewire winger Andy Siflongwane.

With the Leopards dominating the midfield, it was no surprise when Abel Solomon scored a second from close range.

The back four of Kane Shergold, Reece Maggs, Robert Baker and Jack Kosta were solid and Panshanger scored a third when Billy Zienkowicz's spectacular effort went in off the bar and post.

A fourth soon followed, again from Zienkowicz, as the WGC boys went into the interval four up.

The second half was more of the same from Panshanger and the only surprise was that they didn't score any more goals.

Bengeo pulled one back from the spot with man of the match Jerry Armitt almost pulling off a spectacular save in goal.
