LEMSFORD Youth Under-13s Pumas beat Bury Rangers Whites on Sunday to stay in the title race.

The Pumas are now only three points off the leaders with a game in hand.

Bury's bright start woke up the Lemsford side and Drew Gibson opened the scoring around 12 minutes in, lobbing the keeper from distance.

Two goals followed in the first half to give Lemsford a comfortable lead.

The second half saw Bury respond with a spell of pressure but without reward.

Lemsford hit back by creating the fourth, a well- worked goal giving Drew his second of the match.

With a comfortable lead, the Pumas eased off and Bury replied with two goals.

Puma's fifth came from a clearance that fell to stand-in right back Tom Hills, who drove low from 25 yards.

Superb goals from Richard Beavis, Aaron O'Connor and Stuart Thomas completed the day.
