LEMSFORD Youth's three improving Under-9 teams turned on the style in friendly matches to avenge previous defeats.

The Pumas won 4-2 away to Ware Youth Blues with a hat-trick of goals from Albie Langdon and one by Connor Dee.

Player of the match Tommy Colbert worked hard and was unlucky not to score as well.

Lemsford's Lions won 2-0 at home against Prydun Youth with goals from Matteo Pocrnja and Adam Frake.

The players of the match were Matteo and goalkeeper Charlie Meaker.

Meanwhile, the Leopards won 4-2 away to John Warner Reds with player of the match Jordi Barton-Pitch grabbing all four goals.

Whilst the scorers grabbed the headlines, the results were all based on solid team efforts.

For the Leopards, these included determined defence and quality distribution from Theo Demont and Scott Wilson.

The Leopards are now eagerly looking forward to their Mid Herts Rural League championship play-off match against Ware Youth Whites.
