Leaders Welwyn Garden City net 19th league win from 22 games

Goals from Yasin Boodhoo, Reggie Ross and a Marc Arnott brace handed Welwyn Garden City a 4-0 home win over Stony Stratford Town to leave them six points clear at the top of the SSML Division One table.

With two games in hand on second placed Bedford, Adam Fisher’s side are in pole position with 18 league matches left to play.

Boodhoo and Arnott struck in the first half on Saturday, with Arnott adding a second after the break and substitute Ross netting late on.

The Citizens kept their 15th cleansheet of the league season in the clash as well as taking their goals for tally to 65 in 22 matches.
