Lawrence nets winner as Potters Bar Town beat nine man Aylesbury

Dave Lawrence hit the only goal of the game as Potters Bar Town beat Aylesbury, who ended the game with nine men, 1-0 at the Pakex Stadium.

Lawrence’s goal was enough to give Potters Bar the Southern League Division One Central points ain a tough clash which saw two visiting players shown red cards on Saturday.
Ryan O’Toole was first to go after 38 minutes after appearing to raise his hands in a tussle with home player Jordan Lawal.
Lawrence combined well with Jack Lyons just five minutes later to put the Scholars ahead with a well taken goal.
Charlie Nelson almost doubled the lead in the second half.
His long range effort beat the visiting keeper, but hit the crossbar.
The second dismissal for the Moles came 36 minutes into the second half as Jeanmal Prosper appeared to stamp on Luke Warner-Eley after a tackle.
Potters Bar are due to face Fleet Town at home on Tuesday in the Red Insire Cup first round.
On Saturday, Town travel to Rushden & Diamonds in the league.
