Late North goal sees Hatfield Town see off Harefield

AN injury-time goal from Ryan North saw Hatfield Town move off up the league with a 2-1 home win against Harefield United.
It was only the Blueboys’ second win of the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division season so far, but after their FA Cup exploits, they have games in hand on all of the teams in and around them in the table.
Sean Sawyer put the hosts Hatfield ahead after 22 minutes, but former Welwyn Garden City striker Sam Gomez levelled things up on the stroke of half-time.
But Hatfield’s never-say-die attitude saw young winger North equalise two minutes into added-on time, and secure joint-managers Darryn Stewart and Kevin Pearman a very useful three points.
The Blueboys moved onto seven points from their seven games played, one clear of Holmer Green and derby rivals Hertford Town, who occupy the bottom two spots, on six points respectively.
On Saturday, Hatfield are at home to Hillingdon Borough, kick-off 3pm at the Gosling Stadium.
