MANAGER Dan Kennoy felt his Codicote side "made hard work" of beating Wormley Rovers at the weekend.

His team edged to a 3-2 win against the East Herts club thanks to goals from Errol Reyner, Carl Smith and a Grant MacAree winner.

Kennoy said: "We again made hard work of securing three points. Based on the last two games, it's as if we like to allow teams back into the game."

However, the player-manager was pleased with the attitude displayed by his players.

"We showed determination not to give up, which is a sign that the players are hungry for us to climb the table."

Success against a side that had already defeated his team twice this season was satisfying for Kennoy.

He added: "It was good to get a win against a team that had beaten us once in the league and knocked us out of a cup competition earlier on in the season.
