LEMSFORD Pumas keeper Dean Goodwin suffered a fractured wrist as his side lost 6-1 to Wheathampstead Wanderers.

The MHRML U13 Division Two top-of-the-table clash was meant to be a championship-clinching day for the winning side, but for the Pumas it ended after 10 minutes when Goodwin was injured.

With two key Lemsford defenders missing, the reshuffle allowed Wheathampstead to capitalise on the Pumas' weakened side.

They rallied with their stand-in keeper doing his best and he was commended for some excellent work in goal.

Lemsford thanked their injured stopper for all his hard work in goal this season and wish him a speedy recovery.
