Premier Division Bedmond Sports and Social Club survived a second half rally from promotion-chasing Division One side Hatfield Social to secure the first Aubrey Cup semi-final place as they ended 3-2 vistors at Lemsford Village Hall.
Ben Collins and Aaron Lewis added to an own goal for the visitors to secure the odd goal in five, but a Ross Hunt goal and Bruce Tahon penalty brought Social back in it after the break.
Standon and Puckeridge will entertain Kimpton Rovers in the last-eight after a 2-0 victory over Welwyn Garden City Reserves, both the goals coming in the second half courtesy of Tom Whittaker and Scott Piggott.
Bushey Rangers’ excellent Herts FA Intermediate Cup run came to end at the semi-final stage at the hands of Oxhey Jets Reserves, Ricardo Faux-James and Jamal Stepletou scoring in either half for Rangers who were outgunned 6-2 by the SSML side.
In the Senior Premier Division, the rain once again curtailed the programme, but there was another turn up for the books when Wormley Rovers won 2-0 at leaders Whitwell, Kyle Head and Harry Mason finding the net.
The three points propelling Rovers into second spot.
There are now only nine points separating the top nine teams, but the clubs involved have played anywhere between 12 and 21 games.
Cuffley were convincing winners at Mill End Sports, winning 3-0 thanks to a Drew Tyler goal and a brace from Tom Treserdern.
It looks like a six-way battle to avoid the drop at the bottom of the table with only six points between the clubs.
Only one Senior Division One fixture beat the weather, Hertford Heath breathing life into their promotion challenge with a second consecutive victory, winning 3-0 at AFC Hatfield.
Nigel Olouade netted twice and George Hunt once as the visitors moved back into the top three for the first time since the start of November.
