HERTS Signs Under-12s won one and drew one in a double header against Broxbourne Rangers Bulldogs on Sunday.

The first match was a close-fought affair with Herts putting all the pressure on but with no goals to show in the first half.

Then Jonathan Owolabi came on in the second half and headed in from Kieran Taylor's corner for 1-0.

This seemed to lift the Hatfield side.

The other substitute to come on was James Jay, who was playing with lots of confidence.

He capped off a man-of-the-match performance with a well-taken goal after firing in low into the corner of the net to seal a 2-0 win.

The second match was a much tighter affair with Broxbourne battling for revenge but Herts' defence was too strong.

Kyle McGurk was given man of the match for an impressive display as a stand-in left-back.

Brett Lloyd-Matthews was solid once again in the centre of defence and made some impressive runs through with the ball.

But Signs just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net and it finished 0-0.
