HERTS SIGNS Under-12s defeated their John Warner Reds counterparts 4-2 to go two points clear at the top of Division Two of the Mid Herts Rural Minors League.

Signs carried on their good form with another victory in a hard-fought match that could have gone either way.

Jacob Hall, with a man-of-the-match performance in goal, pulled off some fantastic saves in the first half to keep Signs in the game.

Then Jonathan Owolabi put Herts into the lead to help settle the nerves.

John Warner kept up the pressure and equalised early in the second half.

Kieran Taylor then scored two well-taken goals and Reedon Pearce scored the fourth to finish the game off, despite Warner scoring a second.

The whole team played well and all battled for each other.
