SOME fine attacking football helped Lemsford Under-12s to a 4-1 victory at home to Hertford Town Youth.

Lemsford put pressure on the visitors' goal from the off and Jack Phypers soon netted with a fine left-footed shot.

This was followed five minutes later by an own goal, a Hertford defender deflecting Dan Schofield's fierce cross past his own keeper.

With the wind behind them in the second half, Lemsford pushed on safe in the knowledge that their own defenders and goalkeeper were in good form.

Paul Reilly made it 3-0 from close range and Jack Harvey added a fourth with a volley.

Hertford grabbed a well-taken consolation goal in the final minute. Lemsford's player of the match was central defender Calum Mann.
