In the Ultimate Football Welwyn Garden City Monday night six-a-side league, Hedgehog FC defeated Neverbee Athletic 7-5 in an instant classic.

Stuart Madill, Nick Sykes and James Dundas put Hedgehog 3-0 to the good but Stewart Grice rallied his men and goals from Dan Hedges, Francis Mardlin and Terry Jennings put Athletic back on level terms.

Just before half-time Hedgehog regained the lead as Sykes grabbed his second but the drama continued into the second half as Michael Beales made it 4-4.

Amazingly, Athletic then took the lead through Dominic Gillic to take them 5-4 in front, however, Hedgehog rallied back as Madill and Sykes both completed their hat-tricks.

Steve Charles’ Blackpool thrashed 20 per cent Battery 5-0. David Willis and Greg Timotheou both grabbed doubles.

Daniel Winterbourne’s Knick Of Time claimed a 3-3 draw against Chris Houghton’s FC Big Fan.

In the Premiership, My Dixie hammered new boys Leg Day Pending 7-0.

Meanwhile, Michael Webb, Taylor Emerson and Charlie Lloyd all contributed to The Old Guard’s 3-0 victory over SBTA.

James Wheeler’s Wheeler Dealers, with former N-Dubz star Dappy within their ranks, were beaten 3-1 by Smakosze St Albans.

Luke Cooper opened the scoring for Wheeler Dealers but Pawel Pietrzak, Lukasz Burchan and Michal Gawron completed the win for Smakosze.

Mark Dixon’s Old Boys United were beaten 6-3 by Boca Seniors.

Seniors stormed to a 4-1 first-half lead thanks to goals from Tom Pepper, Tom Bundy (two) and vice-captain Saleem Jabbar.

Scott Woolmore slammed a hat-trick for United in the second half but a further goal from Bundy and one from team-mate Tom Plain ensured the points went to Seniors.
