Hatfield United produced a stirring fightback to earn a point in a 2-2 draw at Hinton as their battle to climb away from the foot of Herts Senior County League Division One.

It was their fifth point in their fourth league game of 2019 but they needed to come from 2-0 down in Enfield to get it.

Hinton had gone into the game lying fourth in the table and two goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half had put them in front.

It was slightly harsh on United who had given as good as they got with Dale Stewart, Solomon Dowadu and Charlie Lloyd all having chances.

And they continued their pressure after the break, finally getting their reward five minutes in when Jack Sheldrake fired home from 25 yards out.

And the revitalised spirit that flows through the team at the minute came to the fore late on as, after defending for their lives, they grabbed a last-minute equaliser.

Greg Mackintosh got it with a bullet header from a Lloyd free-kick that sent players and supporters wild with delight.
