Match action from Broxbourne Borough versus Hatfield Town

HATFIELD Town’s five league game winning streak came to an abrupt end on Saturday as they lost 2-0 away at struggling Broxbourne Borough.

The Blueboys were 2-0 down at half-time with Borough’s goals coming from Bradley Drysdale and a Lee Brennan penalty.

And the first period was not without controversy, when Town’s Martin Standen was shown a red card for his part in a mass brawl following brother Matt Standen’s foul on Rob Kemble.

It didn’t get much better for Hatfield in the second half, where, despite not conceding further goals, they were reduced to nine-men when substitute Richard Cooke was given his marching orders for foul and abusive language.
