HATFIELD Town failed make it three league wins on the bounce as they to a 5-2 defeat at Stotfold on Tuesday night.

Adam Parker’s Blueboys were 3-0 down at half-time with Dean Hamilton netting a brace, and Jamie Osbourne scoring the other.

Things went from bad to worse for the visitors only a minute after the interval when Matt Kenneford scored the first of his two goals, and it was pretty much game over at 4-0.

But a youthful Hatfield side never gave up, and Grant Macaree netted after 50 minutes to make the scoreline that bit more respectable.

However, Stotfold’s four-goal advantage was restored when Kenneford hit his second of the game.

Jason Caswell netted his third goal in two games late on, but that won’t hide the disappointment of handing Stotfold their first home win of the South Midlands Premier Division campaign.
