HATFIELD Town exited the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division Cup with a 2-1 home defeat against Stotfold last night (Tuesday).

Midfielder Ashley Dray had put the Blueboys 1-0 up after only 17 minutes, but it was Stotfold who progressed through to the third round of the competition courtesy of a Sean Herr brace.

Darryn Stewart and Kevin Pearman’s Hatfield side are at home to Oxhey Jets on Saturday, desperate to end a four-match losing streak in the league.
