GOSLING Youth Under-13s continued their fine run of form at the weekend as they beat Welwyn Pegasus Navy 4-1 at a wet and blustery Sir Frederic Osborn playing field.

The victory keeps Gosling in the hunt for the division's title.

Gosling started a little slower than usual but still managed to take an early lead as a Ned Birss ball over the top caught Navy square and man of the match Josh Eckley ran clear to score.

The second goal arrived when Mitchell Taylor-Brooks slammed home after a goalmouth scramble.

Further efforts failed to find the net and the half-time score remained 2-0 to Gosling.

By their own standards, Gosling's play dropped considerably in the second half which allowed Pegasus to gain a foothold and they replied with an opportunist strike to cut the deficit.

Gosling responded immediately and finished off the game strongly as strikers Josh Eckley and Liam Catchpole both found the net.
