GOSLING Youth Under-14s won their Kevin Huttlestone quarter-final match 2-1 against Hertford Town.

The WGC side started the match in a positive fashion.

With both teams determined to advance to the semi-final stage, the game was played at a superb pace throughout.

In the first half, left-sided Town midfielder Jack Budge brilliantly took the ball inside.

He let fly with a cracking right-foot shot into the top corner to give Hertford a 1-0 lead as both teams set about each other in an attacking fashion.

Gosling continued to play their style of football.

After an excellent passing move, Liam Catchpole finished clinically inside the box to take the score to 1-1 at half-time.

Man of the match Mitchell Taylor-Brooks was consistently involved in everything Gosling Youth did well.

In the second half it was no surprise to see Gosling go 2-1 ahead as Josh Eckley scored from close range.

After this, chances were snatched at slightly, however Gosling held firm.

They progressed to the semi-final with plenty of room to spare.
