HERTS Signs Youth FC Under-11s kicked off 2009 by hitting Nazeing Youth for six in the Mid Herts Rural League.

In their first game of the year Signs started the first half with a steady flow, missing three opportunities to go ahead.

Nazeing had a chance in the first half but it was safely dealt with by the home keeper and it was 0-0 at half-time.

The second period was a completely different story.

Herts Signs came out and produced some explosive football and beautiful passing to make the final scoreline 6-0.

Four other goals were ruled out for offside.

It was credit to all the players after being out of action for six weeks.

Signs are now in third place in the league.

Manager Dean Hicks and coach Tyron Jonah believe the side will need to keep their heads focused now as they get set to host Harlow Sports in the quarter-finals of the League Shield on Saturday.

Daniel Norman and Jack Williams were named as joint man-of-the-match.
