FOOTBALL fixtures across the county were badly hit by the cold snap yesterday (Saturday).
Easter weekend matches involving Hatfield Town, Welwyn Garden City and Potters Bar Town were all postponed because of the weather.
The Scholars' Ryman League fixture against Wivenhoe Town at Parkfield was called off in the morning after snow fell, resulting in a waterlogged pitch.
WGC's Spartan South Midlands League trip to Holmer Green also fell foul of the wind, rain and sleet of the past couple of days.
A similar fate befell Hatfield Town's Herts Senior County League clash with Standon & Puckeridge.
Snow overnight also caused matches in the Welwyn Hatfield Sunday League to be called off today (Easter Sunday).
Potters Bar Town are due to face Enfield Town away tomorrow (Easter Monday), while Hatfield have a game against Whitewebbs, weather permitting.
