FS NORTHAW won their first National Futsal League match on Sunday at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield.

The newly formed side caused a real upset by beating twice national champions London White Bear 14-12.

Managers Grant Osborn and Aaron Cato helped their side storm into a 5-0 lead and Northaw were 8-2 up at half-time.

Goals in the first period came from Grant Osborn (2), Stuart Gore, an own goal, Kurt Osborn, Andy Hoxia and two from Sam Judge.

After the break White Bear staged a comeback and eventually levelled the match at 12-12.

In the final minute of the game Northaw struck twice to claim a fine first victory.

Second-half goals from the Herts side were scored by Judge (2), Brett O'Conner (2) and Justin Dickinson (2).

On Sunday they host Helvecia, kick-off 9am.
