WITH the league season complete and having finished a creditable fourth, Panshanger Yellows Under-9s invited neighbours Gosling Youth to Moneyhole Lane for a competitive friendly on Saturday.

The visitors started the quicker, with Ewan Higgins striking a left-footed shot to put Gosling one up.

The home side then stepped up the tempo.

Some quick passing movements created three excellent chances but Panshanger failed to capitalise and score.

However, a sweeping move starting from keeper Harry Hall and covering the full length of the pitch carved out an opening for Eddy Webb to hit the equaliser.

Panshanger went on to score two more through Jay Reed and Charlie Sherwood. The final exchanges saw chances at both ends but with Panshanger were generally in control and finished 3-1 victors.
