A record-breaking season for ESFA Potters Bar Primary Schools District U11 football team was celebrated in style at the annual presentation evening – and it had the help of a famous face to Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal fans.

Former England winner David Bentley jetted in from Marbella to hand out the awards at the evening, held at Cockfosters Football Club.

Potters Bar have swept all before them this season, picking up cup after cup.

Already in the trophy cabinet is the Bill Sanders Memorial Cup, the Southern Counties Cup, the Southern Counties Berkshire League and the Shires Witney Cup.

And they are not done yet as they have a shot at the Premier League Finals next month in Derby.

Manager Dean Barker said: “After winning five trophies this season there was plenty to celebrate.

“And all squad members have certainly had a year they will remember for the rest of their lives.”
