Transfer deadline day doesn’t extend to the Southern League Central Division One but that hasn’t stopped Welwyn Garden City snapping up a very familiar face.

Emmanuel Melford-Rowe played for the Citizens during the 2016-17 season with the Herns Lane-based club hoping he can add to his goals tally.

He is also well-known to manager Dean Barker having played under him for Cockfosters, Wingate & Finchley and Northwood.

Speaking on Twitter, the WGC boss said: “It’s always important to have loyal players with you who you can trust and have won things together.

“Good to have you back @Eman_Rowe.”

He will go into the squad for this Saturday’s home game with AFC Dunstable, who should include former WGC goalkeeper Dan Green in their side.
